Mission & Vision
As educators, we understand that not every child thrives in the typical mainstream educational system, and that's perfectly okay.
Education is constantly evolving, and we are in an age that is committed to supporting and creating space for every learner.
At MonteNova Academy, our heart is to create a welcoming space for learners who prefer a homeschool learning approach, but with the support of dedicated tutors, enriching educational spaces, and a community to be a part of.
We also believe in the importance of preparing these young adults for life after school, equipping them with the skills and confidence to be successful.
Meet the founders
We are Jessica and Tamlyn, the founders of MonteNova Academy.
Although our journeys into education were quite different, we share a common vision for what learning can and should be.
Jessica has spent many years working in education and has developed a deep understanding of learners and their unique needs.
Tamlyn began her career as a Chartered Accountant before discovering a passion for teaching and making the transition into education. What started as a career change quickly became a calling.
Together, we founded MonteNova Academy because we believe learners thrive when they are known, supported, challenged appropriately, and given the opportunity to learn in ways that work for them.
MonteNova Academy is the result of a shared dream to do education differently and we feel privileged to be part of each learner's journey.

Our tutors are specialists in their subjects and have a session with each grade once a week for their relevant subject(s).

Open study space
Our loft area is set up to be conducive to all kinds of learning, whether you enjoy sitting at a desk with friends, or at a quiet space alone, or even on a couch - we have a variety of options to suit many different learning styles.
Tutor spaces
When setting up our tutoring spaces, we did so with the learners and tutors in mind, aiming to create a calm, yet collaborative learning space with everything a tutor needs to assist learners effectively.
Outdoors
While learning is a priority at MonteNova Academy, we also believe in balance, which is why we have created spaces outside where learners can relax and have fun together.
